Crowley Company Receives GSA Vendor Approval for Digitization Services

Imaging Services Bureau Approved for Document Conversion Services (SIN 51 506) and Needs Assessment and Analysis Services (SIN 51 501)

Frederick, Md.  – Christopher Crowley, president of Crowley Micrographics, Inc. (dba The Crowley Company), a leading provider of archival and records digitization scanners and services, announces that the company’s imaging services division has been granted approval as a General Services Administration (GSA) contractor through 2023.

To be approved as a vendor, a company must undergo an extensive vetting process. Crowley Imaging, the digitization services arm of The Crowley Company, has been approved for GSA Schedule 36/The Office, Imaging and Document Solution. The multiple award schedule provides federal agencies with solutions to help modernize offices, reduce operational costs and free up resources in order to focus on the agency’s core mission activities. Contract approval is not considered an endorsement, but a qualification of capabilities.

Specific to the services which Crowley Imaging can provide, the division has been approved for special item numbers (SIN) 51 506/Document Conversion Services and 51 501/Needs Assessment and Analysis Services.

SIN 51 501 approves Crowley Imaging to provide a comprehensive assessment of existing objectives (archives) to determine the optimal print and preservation solutions for a particular organization within an agency based on the existing workflow and output environment.

SIN 51 506 approves Crowley Imaging  to provide state-of-the-art document conversion services to include the scanning of text and graphic images from a wide variety of original media into digital data.

Further details can be found on the company’s government contract vehicles web page.

“Our business began in 1980,” says Crowley, “serving primarily government clients with analog microfilm products. As technology evolved and the digitization of files and archives became acceptable for storage, preservation and access purposes, Crowley advanced and so did our products, conversion services and vertical markets. Today, we manufacture some of the world’s finest production scanners, distribute key industry brands and provide a wealth of digitization services to every industry and every branch of state, local and federal government. This certification is meaningful in that it validates our journey as a business over the past four decades and keeps us connected to our roots.”
