Shelley Receives AIA Advanced Vision Professional Certification

Frederick, Md. and Basingstoke, UK – Christopher Crowley, president of The Crowley Company, is pleased to announce that electronics engineer Xander Shelley became part of an elite groupXander Shelley - records scanning this week when he passed the AIA Certified Vision Professional (CVP) Advanced Level exam. Shelley is now one of just 166 advanced-level certified individuals worldwide.

The CVP program is offered by AIA, the world’s largest global vision and imaging trade group. AIA serves more than 330 member companies from 32 countries, including manufacturers of vision components and systems, system integrators, distributors, OEMs, end users, consulting firms, academic institutions and research groups directly involved with vision and imaging. Continuing education every three years is required to maintain certification.

Shelley works for Crowley’s Wicks and Wilson division located in the United Kingdom. He is part of the team tasked with the engineering, production and advancement of the MACHCAM 71MP camera. The high resolution camera is designed to be integrated into a wide variety of machine vision and advanced imaging preservation applications. He is also instrumental in the division’s scanner and new product production.
